CPIM
Since 1973, the CPIM program has educated more than

Development Dinner Meetings
The Mid-Carolina Chapter meets monthly at the Marriott Hotel on Main Street in Columbia. We are always seeking new members to join our chapter. Please join us at one of our monthly meetings to learn more about APICS. Members and nonmembers are welcome to attend. Professional Development Meetings are typically held
monthly. Local, regional and national speakers are featured
presenting assorted topics of interest to today's operations
professionals.

Time too tight for extended classes? Attend a
part or full day seminar to pickup new knowledge on areas of
interest to you and your company. Seminars & Workshops are held
periodically on topics of Operations Management and Production and
Inventory Control.

Plant Tours
Our plant tours feature leading companies from across
our region and provide the opportunity to learn by seeing how theory is
put into practice. They also provide benchmarking opportunities
and foster the sharing of best practices and professional networking. Our recent past tours have included Trane, Spirax Sarco, FN Mfg, Harsco Track Technologies, and AMBAC. We plan two tours per year and a summer 'road trip' to tour a site outside the MICA area. In 2011, we toured the BMW Assembly Plant in SC; in 2010, we toured Roush Yates Racing Engines in NC; and in 2009, we toured the Port of Charleston.
