<JOBDESC>This position is responsible for developing and implementing Cooper Tools global strategy for a defined set of products and services.  Interact and lead multi-cultural project teams across various levels of management and functional areas, while interfacing and negotiating with global supply base.  Individual will develop an understanding of markets, technologies, cost drivers, industry trends, geo-political influences and competitive dynamics related to the procurement of goods.  Develop strategies that reduce total cost including reduction in working capital, process costs, and meeting business requirement of quality, cost and delivery.  Draft, implement and manage supplier agreements that provide Cooper with maximum value, while addressing all areas of risk.  Support and lead cross-functional teams related to material productivity and supplier performance including NPD and VA/VE initiatives.  Identify and capitalize on sourcing opportunities associated with low cost-regions of supply.  Effectively coordinate and prioritize key activities across the division, while representing the division on corporate commodity teams.  Qualified candidates will have a bachelors degree in materials/sourcing management or engineering with at least 3 years of supply chain management experience.   Position requires proven ability to multi-task and lead change in complex manufacturing environment.  Strong communication, analytical and leadership skills a must.  Basic knowledge of ISO, QS or other quality systems preferred.  Ability to devote up to 30% of time to travel.</JOBDESC>
